In electrical engineering for casings, for the shower head at home, during the production of technical fibres and packaging film - all these are application areas for polyester. If you take a look at the label on the back of your sweater, you will also find polyester there as part of the textile mixture. This hugely important group of plastics belongs to the thermoplastics group, and displays excellent mechanical properties - just one reason why it is found in so many areas of our daily lives.
